Jeremy Renner Says ‘Mission Impossible’ Is ‘Awesome’

Jeremy Renner is having an amazing time filming “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol,” but the Oscar nominated actor has been taking his fair share of physical abuse on the action movie.

“What is that like working with Cruise right now,” Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush asked “The Town” star on the 2011 Academy Awards red carpet in Hollywood on Sunday.

“Awesome! Awesome,” Jeremy said of co-star Tom Cruise. “Tremendously generous… tremendous dude.”

“Can you keep up with him on the stunt frontier?” Billy asked.

“I’m giving it a go, man. I’m giving it a go,” the actor explained.

“Would you describe yourself as sore right now?” Billy continued.

“Yes I am, yes I am,” Jeremy said. “All over, man. All over.”

In related “Mission Impossible” news, when Billy asked Jeremy if he is set to take over the franchise from Tom, Jeremy couldn’t confirm the news.

“Oh, no, I don’t really know anything about that. I know we’re shooting this one and that’s all I do know. I don’t’ have a crystal ball or what the heck anybody’s planning, but I am having a ball shooting this,” he told Billy. “I actually have three days left on the movie and then I’m done and I go off to Berlin to shoot something else.”

“Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” is slated to hit theaters in December 2011
