‘Jersey Shore’ Cast Returning For Season 2

The cast of “Jersey Shore” will be back for a second season of summer shenanigans, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino confirmed to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush.

Some reports previously claimed that The Situation, Jenni “J-WOWW” Farley, Ronnie Magro, Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Vinny Guadagnino and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola had asked for $10,000 an episode from the network, but The Situation wouldn’t comment on the numbers.

MTV president of programming Tony DiSanto told The Associated Press that 12 new episodes of the show would air this summer, and find the crew in a new location.

Angelina “Jolie” Pivarnick, who left the house early in Season 1, won’t be part of the second season cast.

The show, featuring a house of self-described “Guidos” and “Guidettes” partying and showing off their lifestyle – termed in one episode, “GTL – gym, tan, laundry” – was a surprise hit for MTV this winter, with its finale scoring 4 million viewers, or roughly double the amount who regularly tuned in to watch the network’s flagship show, “The Hills.”

But fans won’t have to wait for Season 2 to see The Situation in action – he’ll be joining Access as a guest correspondent at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.

“I am very excited and honored to be on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards for Access Hollywood,” The Situation told Access. “I can’t wait to show Hollywood the real ‘Situation’ and we are not talking about my name!”

Watch out, music industry!
