‘Jersey Shore’ Stars Show Off Their Smarts On ‘Tonight Show’s’ ‘Jaywalking’

The cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” competed in a battle of the sexes on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’s” “Jaywalking” segement on Wednesday – both teams surprised the audience with their pop culture and current event knowledge as well as some major gaffs.

When asked to finish the book title, “Catcher in the –,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi quickly said, “Closet.”

The answer was “Catcher in the Rye.”

Jay Leno asked Ronnie Magro who would become the country’s leader if both the President and Vice President were killed, and Ronnie offered up, “The guy that lost, that came in second place, the runner-up, isn’t it?”

“So McCain would become President?” Jay asked.

“I would think so,” Ronnie added.

Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola tried her best, saying, “The wife of somebody…the wife of the Vice President.”

Ronnie tried to redeem himself, saying, “Sarah Palin!”

The night’s most cringe-worthy moment came when Jenni “JWOWW” Farley was shown a picture of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il and she identified him as Jackie Chan.

Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio had a similar gaff when he was shown a picture of Barbara Walters, who he thought was Joan Rivers.
