‘Jersey Shore’ To Head Back To Shore For Season 2

The Kardashians can keep Miami – “Jersey Shore’s” guidos and guidettes are heading back to their home turf.

“It’s official, the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast began filming Season 2 in Miami,” an MTV rep told Access Hollywood on Thursday – and then added a twist. “Once the boardwalk heats back up, the series will return to the Jersey Shore to complete the season.”

The show’s second season will premiere on Thursday, July 29.

While the show’s Season 1 cast — Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, Ronnie Magro and Vinny Guadagnino – was previously confirmed to return for a second season, MTV News reported on Thursday that Season 1 drop-out Angelina “Jolie” Pivarnick will also be heading back to the “Shore.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Doron Ofir Casting is looking for new guidos and guidettes to potentially star in future incarnations of the series, with filming to possibly begin this summer for a fall show.

The casting company is also on the lookout for would-be stars of another reality show under production in Beverly Hills, which it calls the “Persian ‘Jersey Shore.’”
