‘Jersey Shore’s’ Snooki Happy MTV Removed Assault Scene

On Thursday’s “Jersey Shore,” fans were initially going to see cast member Nicole Polizzi, AKA Snooki, get assaulted at a bar following an altercation with Brad Ferro, who is not a castmember of the MTV series. But the network has removed the punch from the upcoming episode, something Snooki is very pleased about.

“This drunk guy just kept coming up to us, he wouldn’t leave us alone, so finally I was like, ‘Listen, these are my drinks, they’re for my roommates, they’re not for you, go away,’” Snooki told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura “Dish of Salt” Saltman on Monday, recalling the August 19 incident. “He couldn’t handle it, [then] he punched me in the face!”

“He was belligerent, he’d already been cut off by the bartender, that’s why he was stealing my drinks,” she continued.

And Snooki is glad the moment of the assault was removed.

“For the show, I don’t think it was a good idea,” she said of removing the punch that got Ferro convicted of assault, fined $500 and given a six months suspended jail sentence. “But, for me personally, obviously that’s hard to watch, so the fact that they did take it out, I appreciate it.”

Now, four months removed from the altercation, Snooki said she’s completely recovered from the incident.

“It hurt,” she said of the punch. “My jaw didn’t break, I didn’t lose any teeth, it was just swelling.”
