Jesse James has checked himself into rehab at a place that should be familiar to wife Sandra Bullock.
Jesse, whose rep released a statement to People on Tuesday that the reality star had “checked himself into a treatment facility to deal with personal issues,” is at Sierra Tucson Rehabiliation Center in Arizona – a place that has treated Michael Douglas, Ringo Starr, Julie Andrews and, reportedly, Whitney Houston and Nicole Richie.
One more star who spent time there? Sandra herself, who visited the facility 10 years ago for a few days to do research for her role as an alcoholic in the film “28 Days.”
The 160-acre campus costs around $40,000 to $64,000 a month, according to the Sierra Tucson Web site, which terms sex addiction as “sexual compulsivity” – a condition that former sex addict Benoit Denizet Lewis told Orlando’s WESH requires family participation to recover from.
“For anyone in sex addiction rehab, if they are hoping to save their marriage and a lot of them are, the participation obviously of the wife or the partner is absolutely critical,” he said.
Whether Sandra is willing to participate remains to be seen – according to Star magazine, the actress found a graphic and shocking pornographer stash on Jesse’s computer that revolted her as she moved out of their shared home.
In news that could affect potential divorce proceedings, Access has uncovered their marriage license – signed in Texas, not California (where the pair had their July 16, 2005 wedding), meaning one party could be held responsible for a “fault” divorce for a cause such as adultery. Under California law, divorces are no-fault.
In more related news, one of Jesse’s alleged mistresses has broken her silence.
“They said I said he was a dud in bed, blatant lie,” Brigitte Daguerre said in new paparazzi footage. “I never said that.”
In the interview, she also attacked claims of being a homewrecker.
“I think it’s very unfair to call any woman a homewrecker in that situation because the only one who can wreck their home is themselves, the married person. It’s their responsibility,” she said. “And I wasn’t sure if he was married or not, I don’t know.”
Jesse has been allegedly linked to three other women.
