Super Bowl festivities started early for Justin Timberlake over the weekend, when his girlfriend, Jessica Biel, surprised the pop singer with a football-themed birthday bash in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon.
According to People, Jessica and around 100 of their friends and family gathered in the Penthouse at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, to celebrate Justin’s 28th birthday just before the game started. Party guests included the parents of both stars and Justin’s bff, Trace Ayala.
“Justin was totally blown away when he walked in. He had no idea,” a source told the mag of his surprise.
And it wasn’t just the large gathering of family and friends that impressed the “Sexy Back” singer. The penthouse had a host of flat-screen TVs for the big game and Jessica made sure the suite was decked out with football fan loving munchies.
Among the food the guests dined according to people, were gourmet buffalo wings, pizza and red velvet cupcakes.
“They held hands and relaxed,” a guest said of the loved-up couple’s behavior. “They seemed very happy together.”
