Jessica Simpson ‘On Top Of The World’ Over Second Pregnancy; Putting Weight Watchers On Hold

Following the announcement of her second pregnancy, Jessica Simpson is putting her Weight Watchers plan on a temporary hold.

“It’s wonderful news and we couldn’t be happier for Jessica, Eric [Johnson] and big sister-to-be Maxwell,” Cheryl Callan, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Weight Watchers, said in a statement on Wednesday.

While she has the support of the folks at Weight Watchers, Jessica will not be participating in the program during her pregnancy.

“[She] will not be following the program during the pregnancy while her weight and well-being is monitored by her obstetrician, as is recommended for any woman during pregnancy,” the company’s statement noted. “After she gives birth, Simpson and her doctor will decide when she should resume following the Weight Watchers program.”

However, Jessica’s “Expect Amazing” ad campaign for the weight loss program – which was shot after giving birth to daughter Maxwell back in May and prior to getting pregnant with her second child — will run as planned.

In fact, one of the ads includes Jessica announcing her second pregnancy. View the ad, HERE!

“This year is all about new beginnings for me. I lost over 50 pounds on Weight Watchers and did not have to be perfect to do it. Being healthy has become a part of who I am, which is great timing because I’m having another baby,” Jessica says in the new spot. “I feel like I’m on top of the world!”

On Tuesday, Jessica Tweeted a photo of 8-month-old daughter Maxwell with the words “Big Sis” scrawled in the sand – her first confirmation of her second pregnancy.
