Jessica Simpson Turns Into Domestic Holiday Homemaker

John Mayer may be keeping busy this holiday season with his collection of baked goods, but it appears his former flame, Jessica Simpson, has also become quite domestic around the oven of late.

“Believe it or not, I like to bake pies. Tony [Romo’s] favorite is pumpkin pie and I haven’t mastered that yet. Maybe I’m more of a baker; I like to make cakes, more fattening. I make a good carrot cake,” Jessica told FOX’s Pop Tarts column.

And it appears if Tony’s Dallas Cowboys don’t make the playoffs (the team is currently on the cusp of the postseason), Jessica is hoping to drown her beau’s sorrow with some holiday spirit.

“My personality is now more stay-at home; right now I’m doing the Christmas tree and everything. I’m in Dallas and it’s fun, Tony hasn’t had Christmas in seven years because they have football every Christmas and he can’t go home,” she added. “So I’m bringing Christmas to him this year and it’s been fun. I’ve been out ornament shopping and all kinds of stuff.”

Playoffs or not, it appears Jessica and Tony may have some company around the Christmas tree.

Jess’ sister, Ashlee, along with husband Pete Wentz and newborn baby Bronx Mowgli will all be spending the holidays together with their family in Waco, Texas, at the home of their maternal grandmother, according to E! Online.
