Jessica Simpson’s Sunny Style

In today’s Glam Slam feature: Jessica Simpson wowed the stylish crowd in her flattering citrus chic dress — it’s spring personified.

Without a doubt, she’s got her body back and looks fab!

Jessica hit the carpet for a great cause — the John Varvatos 11th Annual Stuart House Benefit. One of Jess’ old friends — Willie Nelson — performed live (Jessica and Willie go way back — in 2005 they were both in “The Dukes of Hazzard” and they’ve even dueted together!).

I was lucky enough to attend the event with my family again this year and I can vouch for the fact that Willie, who performed with his sons, sounded great in person. I love having the opportunity to introduce my 5-year-old daughter to the music of legends like Willie — last year we got to see Aerosmith’s Stephen Tyler and Joe Perry perform live at the event. One day I hope she will really appreciate all of this… but these days, she’s just excited about the liquid nitrogen ice cream made on site!

She did enjoy the special kids’ tent, where we spent the majority of the day. There were amazing balloon artists (she got a balloon shaped like “Frozen’s” Olaf!), temporary tattoo artists, a hair station, and all kinds of games and arts and crafts. A magician kept the kids (and adults!) entertained and she kept asking, “How did he DO that?”

I saw James Van Der Beek and his adorable family enjoying the festivities and while waiting in line for pizza, event emcee Bill Bellamy raved about the pies, saying he heard they were awesome. (They were! They were made in an oven right in front of us!) Fresh off his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction, KISS front man Gene Simmons happily posed for selfies with fans, but I was too shy to ask him for one!

More than 1,500 guests enjoyed the family-friendly event, which was co-hosted by Amy Adams and her fiancé. The benefit raised $939,000 for Stuart House — the UCLA Rape Treatment Center for sexually abused children.
