Joan Rivers took a cake to the face at a pre-Oscar party on Friday night.
The “Fashion Police” host was photographed rushing out of the QVC Red Carpet Style party at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., with white icing smeared all over her face, down the front of her black lace top, and in her hair.
The cake attack was part of an elaborate publicity stunt, with the TV personality facing off against Miss Piggy.
A video surfaced online on Saturday showing Joan and the opinionated Muppet exchanging verbal barbs, before Miss Piggy shoves the 80-year-old star face-first into a tiered cake.
This isn’t the first time Joan has had icing smeared on her visage. To celebrate her birthday last year, Fergie brought a cake to the comedian during an episode of “Fashion Police,” then shoved it into her face.
