Joan Rivers On Her Upcoming Reality Show

Joan Rivers is currently working with fellow celebrities and major business moguls on NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” but in her new upcoming TV Land reality show the comedy legend dives into the lives of everyday people who have become surprise successes.

“I go to see people’s homes that have gotten rich in this economy and it’s called ‘How’d You Get So Rich?’ And it’s amazing!” Joan told Access Hollywood on Tuesday.

Joan explained her show would focus on people who have made a splash in the business world though a nontraditional route with off-the-wall products.

“One man made it by building a better bubble blower. Another man made it by building Billy Bob teeth,” she said referring to the novelty item.

Joan was even able to get the creative force behind one of 2009’s biggest product trends – blankets with sleeves.

“The Slanket guy [will also be on the show.] [It’s a blanket] you put your arms through it, [and] 84 million dollars later!” Joan explained.

Sounds a lot like the Snuggy to us, Joan!

And in more Joan news, before her reality show debuts, the comedy queen who has dished out barbs for decades, will be taking a few of her own from her comedy contemporaries at her very own Comedy Central Roast on July 26.

“I’m thrilled to be doing this for Comedy Central. The last time I was roasted I was half of a two-for-one special: Joan of Arc and me,” Joan joked.

“How’d You Get So Rich?” premiers on TV Land in September, while her roast will premier on Comedy Central on August 9 at 10:00 PM ET/PT.
