Joan Rivers Reveals Why She Broke In On Daughter Melissa In The Shower & Her Love For Snooki

Joan Rivers is entering the reality show world with her daughter Melissa on Monday night with their WE tv series, “Joan Knows Best?” and in the opening episode, fans will get to see what it would be like to live with the legendary comedian.

For Melissa, who Joan moved in with for the show, it means having your mom break in on you while you’re in the shower, popping pictures in an attempt to get the fashion critic to pose naked in a magazine.

“They wanted her to do a naked spread and she didn’t want to do it and she’s wrong,” Joan told Access Hollywood Live’s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover when the mother and daughter appeared on Monday’s show.

“You’re like the Kardashians right now,” Kit responded, referring to Kris Jenner, who notoriously encouraged Kim Kardashian to pose in Playboy.

“You’re damn right,” Joan chimed in.

“I don’t want to,” Melissa said of disrobing for the cameras. “Playboy wanted [me to] and I turned it down years ago. I’m friends with Joe Francis – [of] ‘Girls Gone Wild’ – so, we’ve spoken about this a number of times, but it’s just not for me.”

During the mother-daughter team’s visit to Access Hollywood Live, just hours before the 9 PM premiere of their new reality show, Joan also shared her opinions on other reality shows, admitting that a certain ABC franchise has become a big favorite of hers.

“I love ‘The Bachelor.’ I like the fantasy suite!” she said laughing. “It’s so stupid.”

Joan admitted she also has a lot of love for MTV’s pint-sized reality show queen, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.

“I love Snooki! I love [the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast], because it’s such trash,” she said. “You always wonder what does the girl that serves you pizza do? And now you know!”

Never one to mince words, Joan also opined on the continuing controversy surrounding Ricky Gervais’ Golden Globes hosting job.

“You hire someone that’s outrageous and that’s what you’re gonna get,” she said.
