Joey Feek Smiles With Family In Photo From Hospice Care

Joey
Feek is keeping her spirits up.

The
terminally ill country singer smiled for a photo shared on her band’s Facebook page
on Thursday, in which she’s posing alongside her daughter, Indiana, and sister,
Jody.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Joey was first
diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2014 and made the difficult decision to
cease treatment in October.

She has since returned to her childhood home in Nashville for
hospice care. Joey’s husband, Rory, with whom she performs as bluegrass duo
Joey + Rory, has been documenting her prognosis on his blog.

“Joey is at peace with where she is and where she’s going.
So am I,” he wrote of the heartbreaking situation on Nov. 9.

In an interview with The Tennessean published on Nov. 14,
Joey opened up about how she’s learned to accept her fate in the face of such
difficult circumstances.

“I don’t fear anything because I’m so close to God and
we’ve talked about it so many times,” she told the paper. “I know
he’s close. And I know he loves me. I’m really at peace. I still believe
there’s healing in prayer.”
