Cameron Diaz received some support from her friends, including ex-boyfriends, Justin Timberlake and John Mayer on Sunday, as the actress and her family held a memorial service for her father, Emilio.

Emilio Diaz died of pneumonia last Tuesday. He was 58.

The service was held at Mahe in Seal Beach, in Orange County, California.

According to People, most of the guests arrived to the celebratory memorial in non-traditional attire.

“Hardly [anyone] wore black. Lots of people were wearing Hawaiian shirts. It looked more like a party,” a source told People.

Inside the event, attended by friends and family, people could be heard chanting Emilio’s name.

Timberlake and Mayer arrived to the event separately, and both stayed until most people started leaving around 4 PM.

Prior to the conclusion of the ceremony, Cameron spoke about her father to the group, People reported.

Over the weekend, a rep for the Diaz family told Access Hollywood that in lieu of flowers, the family was asking donations be made to Surfrider.org or Reefcheck.org in Emilio’s name.

Both organizations are non-profits, dedicated to oceanic conservation.

Following her father’s death, Cameron released the following statement to Access Hollywood:

“My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family. My dad was loved by so many people and his humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts.”
