John Travolta Calls Off Golden Globes Appearance

John Travolta will not be attending the Golden Globes on Sunday, his rep confirmed to Access Hollywood.

The star is mourning the loss of his son, Jett, who passed away on a family vacation in the Bahamas on January 2. A funeral was held on Thursday in Ocala, Florida, where the family has a home. Celebs including Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, James Gandolfini, Kirstie Alley, Forest Whitaker and Lisa Marie Presley attended the ceremony.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Jett, who was 16, died of a seizure disorder.

John, a nominee for his duet with Miley Cyrus on “I Thought I Lost You” from their animated film, “Bolt,” was scheduled to present at the awards ceremony. “Bolt” is also nominated for Best Animated Film.
