Jon Bon Jovi On Daughter’s Overdose & Arrest: ‘We’ll Get Through It’

Jon Bon Jovi is speaking out for the first time about daughter Stephanie Bongiovi’s alleged overdose and arrest last week.

“What I do for a living seems glitzy and glamorous but if you don’t take it too seriously it’s a great way to make a living,” the rocker told Los Angeles’ FOX 11. “And then life goes on. Things happen.

“This tragedy was something that I had to face too so we’ll get through it,” he continued.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the rock star’s 19-year-old daughter was arrested after she was found unresponsive last week at Hamilton College in Kirkland, New York.

The charges against Bongiovi were dropped, due to New York’s Good Samaritan 911 law, which was created to lessen overdose deaths by encouraging people to call for help without the fear of being arrested for drug possession.

In the interview, Bon Jovi also thanked his fans for their recent support.

“People’s warm wishes for my family and I have been really reassuring. So, we’re good,” he added.
