Jon Gosselin Seeks More Custody Of Kids From Kate

Jon Gosselin wants his custody rights to his eight children expanded and he filed legal papers on Wednesday asking a judge to expand his physical custody and to reduce his child support payments to Kate Gosselin.

Access Hollywood spoke to Jon’s attorney office, who said that the former reality dad is leaving New York City and returning to Wernersville, Penn.

The attorney said Jon is “moving miles away” from the Gosselin compound in order to establish a permanent residence closer to the eight tots.

According to legal documents obtained by Access, Jon asked the judge to expand his physical custody rights and name him a “primary custodial parent” and “set an appropriate custody schedule that is in the best interests of their children.”

Jon claims that Kate, “abuses the discretionary authority regarding custody scheduling.”

He is also requesting to lower his child support payments. He currently pays over $20,000 a month to Kate in child support.

Jon claims that the arbitrator in the divorce, “failed to take into consideration the numerous factors provided for by the law in PA,” and claims that Kate did not provide documentation of expenses related to the children.

His legal team also told Access that Jon feels like Kate’s busy travel schedule with “Dancing with the Stars” keeps her away from the kids too often and that they deserve to have a parent more present in their lives.

Prior to Jon filing the paperwork, Access spoke to Kate Gosselin’s attorney, Mark Momjian, on Tuesday, who said, “Anybody who made a comment like that did so in an utterly reckless manner. It’s completely false. It’s patently untrue. It’s hard to dignify something that is made in such an offensive way.”
