Jonas Brothers Talk Obama Girls, ‘JONAS’ Show

The Jonas Brothers finally met the Obama sisters – and it didn’t go so well for Nick.

“We played ping-pong, and they beat me,” Nick told Access Hollywood of the soon-to-be First Daughters at the Disney TCA event on Friday.

“He wants a rematch,” Kevin added.

The young band met Sasha and Malia, who are admitted Jonas Brothers fans, while visiting “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“They didn’t know we were there,” Nick said. “It was really cool to meet them after hearing they had been fans.”

But one brother said it would be even cooler if the Obama girls invite them to their new pad.

“I just want to hang out at the White House,” Kevin said.

They’ll get close when they perform at the Kids’ Inaugural Concert on Monday, where Nick said they’ll play “Burnin’ Up” (an Obama girls favorite), “Lovebug” and “Year 3000.”

But after that, fans can find them at work on their new TV show, “JONAS” – a musical comedy they compared to “The Monkees” and “Flight of the Conchords.”

Transitioning from singing to acting has been tricky for the talented trio.

“I’m very hard on myself when it comes to acting,” Nick said. “Trying to capture my own personal sense of humor, in real life, it’s very dry humor. But sometimes I can’t quite master that on camera.”

Still, he said, “it’s going really well.”

If that wasn’t enough, the brother band has an upcoming film, as well – “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience,” due in February.

“It gets some really personal things in there,” Nick said of the movie. “There’s one scene in particular where it captures all the things that we went through in Times Square in New York City on our album release night, which was one of the craziest scenes. I think it’s the only footage in the world of it.”

Luckily, they’ll have plenty of opportunities to share more memorable moments — Joe said they have a world tour in the works as well.

“We’re going to try to go to a lot of places that we’ve never been,” he said. “We’re really excited about it.”
