Jordana Brewster Tapped To Play TV’s ‘Mrs. Smith’

LOS ANGELES (February 1, 2007) — Jordana Brewster has signed on for the pilot of ABC’s new drama “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Brewster will play Jane Smith, the role originally played by Angelina Jolie in the hit action film.

The story follows the Smiths – a married couple who are also spies.

Brewster’s character is “as cool, tough and smart as she is gorgeous and can disarm a horde of thugs without breaking a sweat,” Hollywood Reporter reports.

Her recent film credits include “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning,” “Annapolis” and “Nearing Grace.”

No word yet on who will play the role of Mr. Smith, originally played by Brad Pitt.
