Josh Groban Plans ‘Glee’ Return

Josh Groban delighted “Glee” fans earlier this season by turning up (with a restraining order against former choir director Sandy Ryerson) on the hit FOX show. And on Thursday night’s red carpet at the OneXOne Gala in San Francisco, Josh said he will be returning to the series.

“I think I’m going to come back and do one more episode,” Josh told Access Hollywood. “And we’ll see what happens.”

The singer said that one reason he signed up for the show is because it allows him to enjoy a little TV levity.

“I love doing comedy, so every chance I get to do something silly is really fun,” he said.

And in particular, Josh said his brief stint on “Glee” was a total delight.

“I had a great time with that cast, coming from a theater background,” he said. “It’s so nice to see so many theater actors being hired for mainstream television. And also, being a member of the choir club as a kid, just to see that group of people being represented in mainstream culture is really, really so great.”

Josh was one of the many stars including Charlize Theron and Jeremy Piven, who turned up at the OneXOne charity event, which was originally set to be hosted by Matt Damon on Thursday evening. The actor, however, had to withdraw from the event over a family emergency. But while Matt wasn’t there to support the group which raises money to distribute between various charity organizations including Feeding America, Josh championed his work.

“Matt Damon has done an incredible job of getting the word out,” he said. “OneXOne has done an amazing job of letting it be a word of mouth snowball effect around the world.”
