Judge Breaks Down On ‘The X Factor’ During Elimination Round

It was an emotional night on Thursday’s “The X Factor” as one of the judges broke down and refused to cast their vote to send one of the acts home on the FOX reality singing competition.

Paula Abdul, once again, had two acts up for elimination on the show – The Stereo Hogzz and the put together girl group Lakoda Rayne, and she was heartbroken when show host, Steve Jones, asked her for her vote.

“I’m sorry, Simon, I cannot, I’m not gonna do this, I can’t do this,” a very emotional Paula said, shaking her head (L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger had already cast their votes to send The Stereo Hogzz home). “I’m too close to both acts and I love them both very much and they worked very hard.”

Steve pressed the tearful Paula for an answer, “Give me a name of who you’re sending home.”

“She’s not gonna vote,” Simon [Cowell] chimed in.

As Paula wiped away tears, Steve noted that, “If Paula doesn’t vote, she’s abstaining, Stereo Hogzz go home.”

Once Steve’s message sunk in, Paula voted to save the Stereo Hogzz and the decision was again put in the judges’ hands and ultimately, Simon’s.

The Brit then cast the deciding vote and sent home the R&B boy band.

Before they departed, the gents said they felt “blessed” by the experience, and a composed Paula said they were “gentlemen.”

“Many of you didn’t get to know them, but these guys are the real deal…. And gentlemen, gentlemen to work with,” Paula said

“The X Factor” returns with its Top 10 performing next Wednesday at 8/7 C on FOX.
