Julianne Hough Nervous For ‘Grease: Live’ Quick Changes

Julianne Hough is set to
step into the spike heels and skintight jumpsuit of “Grease’s” Sandy
when the show goes live on Fox later this month.

We know the two-time “DWTS” mirrorball champ can dance, we
know she can sing (remember her 2007 country album?) – so which task makes her
more nervous?

“I don’t
know. I mean, just the whole combination of everything,” Julianne told
Access Hollywood’s Stephanie Bauer during a visit to the “Grease:
Live” set. “The fact that we’re gonna be doing some really quick
changes and going from set to set. We’re on like four different stages in the
lot.”

Julianne will
have mere minutes to make a wardrobe change and catch her breath before taking
on one of “Grease’s” most iconic (and vocally challenging) songs.

“After
the dance [scene], basically I have to book it in like, a golf cart, and warm
up my voice and then sing ‘Hopelessly Devoted,'” she revealed. “So
I’m gonna be like, ‘Breathe, breathe…'”

The
resemblance between Julianne and original big screen Sandy (played by Olivia
Newton-John) is uncanny – a comparison the newly engaged star
finds flattering.

“That’s a huge compliment,” Julianne said, of her Olivia
resemblance. “I mean, growing up I saw Olivia as Sandy and I’m like, ‘I
wanna be her so bad!'”

Adding, “And it was the first time I was like, ‘Wait, you can
sing and dance and act all in one thing? Oh my gosh.'”

Catch Julianne – along with Aaron Tveit as Danny, Vanessa Hudgens
as Rizzo, Keke Palmer as Marty, Carlos PenaVega as Kenickie and Carly Rae
Jepsen as Frenchy – on “Grease: Live,” January 31 at 7 PM on Fox.
