Country cutie and former “Dancing With the Stars” pro Julianne Hough says although she recently split from boyfriend Chuck Wicks, the two remain on good terms.
“We’re still great friends,” Julianne told Access Hollywood at the “New Moon” premiere in Los Angeles on Monday night. “We hang out all the time. It’s great.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the country couple decided to split earlier this month.
Julianne, 21, met Chuck, 30, while they were both on tour with Brad Paisley in 2008, and she said their first date was very memorable.
“Our first date – it was sushi and then a walk somewhere,” Julianne told Access in 2008. “We can’t tell you the rest ‘cause that’s kind of a personal thing, but… We’ve got all these sentimental things from our first date that are like, kind of everywhere.”
And as far as a possible romantic reconciliation, Julianne wasn’t ready to rule that out altogether.
“Maybe. What will be, will be,” she added on Monday night. “If it’s meant to happen.”
Should Chuck decide to woo his former flame, he may want to don a pair of fangs.
“I’m Team Edward!” she laughed at the “New Moon” premiere.
But will the blonde beauty be returning to the ballroom anytime soon for another turn on “Dancing With the Stars”?
In October, Julianne told Access’s guest “DWTS” correspondent La Toya Jackson she was “sure I’ll be back” when La Toya asked if she’d return next season.
However, in an interview with Ryan Seacrest for KIIS FM on Monday night, Julianne said don’t count on a comeback just yet.
“Will you go back next season?” Ryan asked of a reality return.
“No, not next season,” she replied.
“What about the following one?” he followed.
“We’re going to cross that bridge when we get to it,” she said. “But I love the show.”
