Just Call Her ‘Professor’: Halle Berry Headed To Television?

Halle Berry may be headed to television.

According to Deadline, the Oscar winner is attached to DreamWorks drama series “Higher Learning,” which is being pitched at networks including HBO and Showtime.

The series, written by Lee Rose, would star Halle as a professor in college, the website noted.

A rep for Halle wasn’t immediately available for comment when contacted by Access Hollywood.

If Halle does head to television, she won’t be the only one. Romantic comedy darling Zooey Deschanel is heading to FOX this fall with “The New Girl.” Former “Lord of the Rings” star Elijah Wood’s new comedy for FX, “Wilfred,” premieres on June 23.

Other big screen stars who have turned to the small screen in recent years have included Oscar winner Forrest Whitaker, who leads off the cast of CBS spin off, “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior.”

Glenn Close, a five time Oscar nominee, is now the star of FX’s “damages,” and Alec Baldwin is the corporate kingpin on NBC’s “30 Rock.”
