Some of the crowd at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night were not Beliebers!
After Justin Bieber took the stage to accept the fan-voted Milestone Award, he was met with some boos from the crowd – but Justin took his critics head on.
“I’m 19 years old. I think I’m doing a pretty good job,” he told the crowd.

“Basically from my heart I really just want to say it really should be about the music. It should be about the craft that I’m making,” the young pop star continued.
Adding, “This is not a gimmick, and I’m an artist, and I should be taken seriously.”

Host Tracy Morgan also came to Justin’s defense, telling the crowd, “Don’t be booin’ nobody, this ain’t ‘Showtime at the Apollo.’”
