Justin Bieber Investigated For Alleged Laser Tag Assault?

Justin Bieber was reportedly involved in a scuffle at a laser tag center in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, on Saturday night in which he allegedly hit another teen.

According to multiple reports, including Canada’s CBC News and ZackTaylor.ca (which first broke the news), a 12-year-old boy claimed Bieber hit him during the game.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police released a statement about the incident saying, “The father of a 12-year-old boy reported to police that his son was assaulted by another boy at a Richmond entertainment facility last Friday afternoon (October 15), shortly before 5:30 pm. The boy sustained minimal injuries and did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. Investigators are in the process of speaking to individuals who may have witnessed the incident. Police are continuing their investigation and no further information is available at this time.”

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a spokesperson for RCMP would not confirm that Bieber was, in fact, involved.

“We are aware of speculations concerning the identity of one of the parties allegedly involved. However, we would like to remind the public that we do not release the names of any suspect until charges have been laid. In cases where the accused is under the age of 18, the identity of the accused is not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act,” the RCMP statement continued.

Blogger Zack Taylor, who posted a photo taken at Planet Lazer that night, gave his take on the alleged incident during an appearance on Access Hollywood Live on Monday morning.

“It seems like Justin went in to play some laser tag and a bunch of 12-year-olds surrounded him and start getting in his face and he accidentally bumped one of them while he was trying to get away from them… and the parent of the 12-year-old is now saying that he assaulted his 12-year-old kid,” Zack told Access Hollywood Live hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.

TMZ reported that the alleged incident involved a homophobic remark directed towards Bieber from the 12-year-old boy.

However, Zack told Billy and Kit that his sources claim this report is false.

“My sources are staff that were working that night as well as the owner’s daughter and they tell me 110% that kids were not yelling any homophobic slurs at Bieber, they were just shooting him with the gun, he was just running through like any other kid playing laser tag… They didn’t know it was Bieber inside the maze,” Zack continued. ” [The boy’s father] called the police and they filed a complaint and Bieber admitted to the police that it was an accident that he probably just bumped the kid while he was running away. And obviously everybody is blowing this up.”

Bieber, who was active on Twitter over the weekend, has not mentioned the alleged incident.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for Bieber was not immediately available for comment.
