Justin Bieber Shares Secrets From Impoverished Past In Rolling Stone; Dishes Views On Girls, Sex & Homosexuality

Justin Bieber’s new film documents his journey from musically gifted youngster to teen sensation, but he told Rolling Stone that behind the music, his early life was filled with dark times.

“That place was really dirty,” Justin told the magazine of the public housing complex in which he used to live. “We had mousetraps everywhere, because there were mouses – uh, mice – in the house. We had a gross shag carpet, with stuff in it. I didn’t have a real bed. I slept on a blue pullout couch in my room. We didn’t have anything in the fridge, ever, except maybe lunch meat for school, and Kraft macaroni and cheese.”

The Biebs may be a superstar now, but his poor roots gave him an appreciation for the value of money and what is really worthwhile.

“I don’t love money, because once you start loving money, you’ve got a big house and nice cars and just an empty heart, and that’s the truth, I’m not just saying that,” Justin said.

While he once joked to Vanity Fair that he thought about taking acid, Justin explained to Rolling Stone why he really isn’t interested in taking drugs.

“Are you curious about cutting off your finger? Do you want to know what that feels like?” Justin asked. “To me, taking drugs is the same type of thing. In the end, all that happens is you get hurt by it.”

The squeaky-clean pop star does love the ladies though and he told the mag that he doesn’t have an exact type.

“I like all girls. I like a girl with a nice smile and who’s funny, as far as looks, my taste is dark hair,” she said. “But I don’t limit myself. I like girls with blond hair too. I like everything!”

Justin, who turns 17 next month, also has strong ideas about sex.

“I don’t think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them,” he said.

And he has a strong opinion on homosexuality too.

“It’s everyone’s own decision to do that. It doesn’t affect me and shouldn’t affect anyone else,” he stated.

Justin also shared his view on why his homeland, Canada, is “the best” country.

“We go to the doctor, and we don’t need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you’re broke because of medical bills,” he said.
