Justin Bieber Stays Optimistic Following Grammy Awards Shutout

Justin Bieber walked away from the 2011 Grammy Awards empty-handed, but 16-year-old Canadian singing sensation told Access Hollywood he’s remaining optimistic about his busy road ahead.

“I go on a world tour starting in March and… I have an album coming out tomorrow,” Justin told Access’ Shaun Robinson backstage at The Grammys, referring to “Never Say Never – The Remixes,” which features his Grammy performance pals Jaden Smith and Usher.

Despite not winning any trophies, Justin said he had a blast at this second Grammy Awards.

“Favorite part of the show…I really liked Eminem’s performance,” he told Shaun. “He’s just incredible…just his lyrics are just awesome.”

The singer also delivered a Valentine’s Day message to Shaun for his fans.

“I want to say thank you guys for all the support,” Justin added. “You guys are amazing and we’ll get them next year.”

Shaun also caught up with Justin’s mentor, Usher, who picked up two Grammys on Sunday night (seven awards over his career) – albeit, off-camera.

“During my career, I have never won a Grammy on camera,” Usher told Shaun. “Which is why, you know, tonight was hard for Justin. I told him, ‘Listen, sh** happens,’ you know. This is an industry and, you know, hey it happens.”

Usher explained that Justin was keeping his head up despite his Grammy losses, including the Best New Artist category, which jazz singer Esperanza Spalding took home.

“He’s definitely humble and understands that this is a process,” Usher continued. “We’re defined by what we do for our fans… we had an incredible performance tonight together. If he didn’t win best new artist… that’s not to say the career is over. Next year, we’ll be back at it again and we’ll be in other categories, making music for our fans.”

Eva Longoria also gave Justin some words of encouragement on Twitter, writing, “U r an inspiration honey, with or without an award!”
