The “Leftovers”
star posted his first snap to the photo-sharing service on Wednesday, sharing a
black-and-white selfie with the succinct caption “#on.”
A
picturesque mountain landscape serves as the backdrop for his inaugural shot,
in which he also dons a black motorcycle jacket and a small stud in his left
ear.

Commenters
immediately speculated whether the 44-year-old actor and screenwriter’s new
social media activity would inspire his wife Jennifer Aniston to jump on the
bandwagon too, but fans might not want to get their hopes up.
In May, Jen
took over her beauty company Living Proof’s Instagram account for just one day
and said she didn’t exactly enjoy the responsibility.

“I was
so stressed out, sweating bullets,” she told People of the experience. “It
was too much pressure.”
Kate Hudson tried
to change her pal’s mind in September, rallying her own Instagram followers to
help persuade Jen to join the digital landscape.
“Who’s
that gorgeous lady peekin’ over my shoulder,” Kate wrote, captioning a
cute pic of her and Jen goofing around on the “Mother’s Day” set.

she added.
