Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel Help Sandy Victims In First Public Appearance As Married Couple

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel stepped out this weekend for their first public appearance since tying the knot on October 19, but it wasn’t on a red carpet.

The newlyweds headed to Rockaway, Queens in New York on Saturday, where they handed out relief backpacks to victims of Superstorm Sandy.

Also on hand to help out was JT’s longtime friend/collaborator Timbaland.

The trio spent three and a half hours handing out backpacks and blankets, according to People, and their kindness did not go unnoticed by local residents.

“Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel helping out,” Jessica Nortesano Tweeted, along with a photo of the couple handing out packages from inside the back of a truck.

Twitter user Kristi Ray wrote, “Shout out to @jtimberlake & @jessicabiel for serving along side of us in Rockaway & giving the kids something to talk about besides #Sandy.”

Singer John Legend also lent a hand to storm victims and urged his Twitter followers to help in any way possible.

“Went out to far rockaway this morning to view the aftermath of #sandy and distribute food,” he wrote on Saturday. “Still no power out there. Keep giving. They need u.”
