Justin Timberlake Talks Action Hero Aspirations: ‘It’s Fun To Shoot Guns’

Justin Timberlake has proven to possess enviable comedic skills (“D*ck in a Box” anyone?!), and successfully held his own alongside Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield in 2010’s critically acclaimed drama, “The Social Network.”

Now, the 30-year-old superstar is flexing his action muscles in the upcoming sci-fi thriller, “In Time.”

“It’s fun to shoot guns, man,” Justin told Access Hollywood’s Scott “Movie” Mantz at the 2011 Comic-Con in San Diego, Calif., on Thursday, of his first foray into the world of action. “Boys and our toys – we like to drive cars fast and shoot loud guns.

“And not have to have any consequences for it,” he added with a smile.

Justin — who plays a young man on the run from a corrupt police force in the Andrew Niccol film — said that while filming the active role was exhilarating, the movie also has a message and will leave audiences in contemplation.

“This is an exciting genre to tackle,” he told Scott. “But I do feel like this film has more to say than just that.”

Catch Justin in “In Time” – alongside Amanda Seyfried and Cillian Murphy – when the film hits theaters on October 28.
