Kanye Vs. 50 Cent: Who Will Be The Champ?

Following weeks of hype, the album showdown between 50 Cent and Kanye West is finally going down.

50 Cent’s “Curtis” and Kanye’s “Graduation” both hit stores Tuesday, and the race is on to see which rapper will emerge victorious on the charts!

“It’s big for hip hop for us to be coming out on the same day, but Kanye West doesn’t stand a chance,” said 50 Cent on BET’s “106 and Park” last night.

The show was a true “clash of the titans” as both Kanye and 50 were there to promote their respective discs.

“When my album drops my album is the pinnacle of what music is at that time,” said Kanye. “It is basically the best album you can buy.”

But with all of the hoopla surrounding their “battle,” including dual appearances, photo sessions and interviews, could this be one big publicity ploy to move both of their records?

“There’s no actual beef,” 50 confessed on the show. “Just being competitive as far as hip hop is concerned.”

“You take the two biggest rock stars in hip hop right now and put them together,” Kanye remarked, “and we’re gonna do numbers like you’ve never seen before.”

With sales already racked up since yesterday, early reports indicate that Kanye will emerge the champ, with sales projections in the 500-700 thousand range.

And while 50 Cent most likely won’t be # 1, there’s a chance he might not even be # 2!

Country star Kenny Chesney’s latest release is running neck-and neck with 50 Cent, with both on pace to sell around 550 thousand.
