First Kate Gosselin broke her silence Monday morning about ex-husband Jon Gosselin – and now Kate “2.0” Major is attempting to have the last word on the reality octo-dad.
“We had plans to travel together, to live together and to be together,” Kate told E! News in an interview airing Monday night. “He made his decision in the Hamptons. He wanted to be with me.”
According to Kate, 26, Jon said he was planning to end his relationship with Hailey Glassman, 22, so he could be with her. Kate even resigned from her job as a tabloid reporter in order to be with the 32-year-old reality dad.
“He told me he was going to Massachusetts to break up with her,” Kate said. “I know the truth. He knows the truth. Unfortunately, she did not.”
Jon and Hailey say they never broke up – something Kate says is not true.
“He tried to two-time both of us,” Kate. “He wasn’t honest with Hailey. He needs to man up and tell the truth. I’m not going to be the other woman.”
Kate also claimed others are aware of their romantic involvement.
“I was not the only one who was around when we were romantically involved,” Kate continued. “We were holed up together. It’s not like we were just sitting there doing an interview.”
The former Star magazine reporter also said it was Jon’s idea for her to quit her job.
“I was with the person I was reporting on…It was a huge conflict of interest,” she claimed. “He’s the one who actually told me to quit my job.”
Kate claims she’s speaking out to set the record straight – no matter how difficult it may be.
“It’s been a nightmare. I did not want to have to do this…I have to speak. I did not want to have to sell him out but when he makes me look like a liar, a fool and an idiot. I have to speak out,” she said. ” In no way did he tell me he was going to go parade with his ex-girlfriend… his whole experience has taught me so much. When I had Jon’s support, it was hard. Now that I don’t, it’s even harder”
Jon Gosselin was scheduled to hold his first public interview with E! News’ Ryan Seacrest on Monday night, following Kate Gosselin’s interview on Monday morning with Meredith Vieira on the “Today” show. However, as previously reported by AccessHollywood.com, the interview with Jon was canceled Monday afternoon.
