Kate Gosselin Chides Twins Mady & Cara For Clamming Up On Today Show

Oh, teenagers.

Mady and Cara Gosselin, 13-year-old twin daughters of Jon and Kate Gosselin, feel silent during an interview on the “Today” show on Thursday, prompting an awkward TV moment.

When asked by Savannah Guthrie to give an update how their siblings are doing since the 2011 cancelation of “Kate Plus 8,” Mady went silent.

“Mady, use your words,” Kate told her daughter as Savannah looked on. “It’s your chance – spit it out.”

After a few more moments of silence from the suddenly-camera-shy girls, Kate said, “This is their chance to talk. This is the most wordless I’ve heard them all morning!

“I don’t want to speak for them but, Mady, go ahead,” she continued. “Sort of the things that you said in [People] magazine, that years later they’re good, they’re fine. Go for it, Mad. it’s your chance.”

“No,” Mady said, smiling. “You just said it.”

Savannah tried to turn to Cara for answers, who also clammed up and went silent.

After Kate took the speaking reins, the twins did finally speak.

When asked if they would ever return to reality TV, Mady said, “Yeah. It was fun and I really miss it. And you do, too, Cara. Cara does, she’s just not gonna say it.”
