Kate Gosselin Gets Tearful After Latest Elimination On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

“Dancing with the Stars” provided one of its most shocking eliminations of the season on Tuesday night, as Kate Gosselin was sent packing.

Despite weeks of viewers saving her to dance another day after low judges scores, the TLC reality star was finally eliminated from the “DWTS” ballroom – alongside professional partner Tony Dovolani, on Tuesday night’s results show.

Kate and Tony were in the bottom two (their first time) alongside Pamela Anderson and her partner, Damian Whitewood, but the “Twist of Kate” star had the lowest combined score of judges’ marks and viewer votes and got the bad news from host Tom Bergeron.

“I need a minute,” an immediately emotional Kate told Tom and co-host Brooke Burke, when they turned to her for a reaction.

Tony quickly chimed in to give his partner his support.

“You know what? I’m very proud of Kate,” Tony said as Kate was handed a tissue and began wiping the away the tears that welled up in her eyes. “I know she gets a lot of criticism out there and it is difficult.

“I give her all the credit in the world for showing up. As exhausted as she was, she still showed up every single day,” he continued. “As a teacher, I am very proud of you because I thought you danced beautifully; you showed America it doesn’t matter how much things go against you, you still come out here and give it your best.”

Tom actually revealed that prior to the show, the mother of eight told him she felt Tuesday would be her night to go home, something Kate confirmed when she finally was able to speak.

“My gut feelings are always right and it’s OK,” Kate said. “I had the opportunity [to do this show]. I’m very, very honored to have been here. I love everyone that I met. It was a great experience.

“I’m sorry I’m crying,” she continued, wiping away more tears. “I’m a crybaby. I had a wonderful teacher and honestly I cannot wait to watch the rest of these people perform on Monday nights because they’re all wonderful and they do a great job and I’ve really grown to love everyone.”

Kate also took time to thank the viewers who voted to keep her in the competition week after week, despite her consistently low scores.

“Wow, thank you for believing in me, probably more than I believed in myself,” she said.

The mom added that she loved the experience even if sometimes, her face didn’t show it.

“Whatever’s worthy of my time, I give my all and I did, even though maybe sometimes it didn’t come across,” she said. “I was scared to death most of the time to be out there…. It’s so much more than even I think I thought. It takes a lot.”
