Justin Bieber debuted a very Kate Gosselin-circa-2009 hairstyle at the VMAs on Sunday night.
A side-by-side meme featuring the “Kate Plus 8” star and the singer quickly made its way around the Internet (Biebs even Instagrammed it, but later deleted it).

So what does Kate have think about Justin borrowing her iconic ‘do?
“I do see some resemblance to my former hairstyle — Justin’s is a current take on it, yes! And it’s OK, he can have it,” Kate told Cosmo, with a laugh.
The reality mom found Bieber’s post amusing.
“I love the fact that he’s willing to laugh at himself with this post because that shows signs of maturity,” she said. “You have to be comfortable enough to take what people say about you and laugh! He did, and so thumbs-up, Justin!”
And the shout-out from the “What Do You Mean?” singer made Kate the coolest mom ever to her kids.
“My girls are beyond thrilled that he Instagrammed pics of us. To top it off, Mady found his Instagram at the same time as I did this morning — on the bus on the way to school, no less,” she told the mag. “Her response was, ‘MOTHER, WHAT THE HECK?’ in all caps, which I interpreted as approval and excitement!”
