Kate Middleton’s First Official Portrait Revealed!

The first official portrait of Kate Middleton has arrived.

The Duchess, who is expecting her first child with Prince William, visited London’s National Portrait Gallery on Friday for the painting’s big reveal.

While the portrait is drawing some criticism online, Kate seemed pleased with the rendering.

“I thought it was brilliant,” the Duchess – who concealed her baby bump beneath a burgundy dress with a black belt – told reporters at the reception following the viewing.

Prince William agreed with his gorgeous wife, dubbing the portrait “absolutely beautiful.”

The royal couple also met with artist Paul Emsley, who was chosen by Kate herself to paint the portrait.
