Kate Walsh Says ‘I’m Not Dating’; Offers Up New ‘Mc’ Moniker

“Private Practice” star Kate Walsh says she’s too busy to date nowadays.

The actress, who is in the midst of a divorce with movie executive Alex Young, said work is keeping her too busy to test out the field again.

“No, I’m not dating,” Kate told Billy Bush for Access Hollywood and “The Billy Bush Show.” “I have not been dating. I’ve been too busy. I’ve been working.”

Instead, Kate, who plays Dr. Addison Montgomery, on the ABC series, has been focusing on her character’s love interest.

Tonight, in fact, Kate’s character gets a new love interest – Dr. Noah Barnes, played by Josh Hopkins, who recently starred in CBS’ short-lived drama, “Swingtown.”

“There’s this hot new doctor that Addison meets… and there’s a major, major twist,” Kate said of Thursday’s episode. “You do get to meet this foxy new guy. There’s a lot that transpires.”

And while her former show, “Grey’s Anatomy,” produced a McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey’s Dr. Derek Shepherd), a McSteamy (Eric Dane’s Dr. Mark Sloan), and a McArmy (Kevin McKidd’s Dr. Owen Hunt), Kate says her new on-screen romance deserves a saucy name too.

“He’s McDelicious? He’s ridic! How about that? He’s McRidic!” she said.
