Kate Walsh Weds Movie Executive In Intimate Ceremony

Former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Kate Walsh tied the knot with her own personal “McDreamy” on Saturday.

Walsh, 39, exchanged vows with movie executive Alex Young, 36, at the Ojai Presbyterian Church in the small picturesque town of Ojai, California, People reports. Ojai, located north of Los Angeles, is known for its stunning mountain views and thriving arts scene.

The beautiful bride reportedly walked down the aisle in a custom-made wedding gown from Monique Lhuillier, designer of Britney Spears’ two gowns for her wedding to Kevin Federline.

Approximately 100 guests attended the ceremony, including Walsh’s “Grey’s” co-stars Katherine Heigl, Chandra Wilson, Sara Ramirez and Justin Chambers. Actress Kate Beckinsale also attended the wedding, accompanied by her husband, film director Len Wiseman.

Walsh, who will star in “Grey’s” spinoff “Private Practice” this fall, met Young, a 20th Century Fox production co-president, in February. The two were engaged in May.

Walsh could barely contain her excitement over her good fortune when she spoke to Access Hollywood in July, saying, “I got the show and I got a wedding to plan, so it’s fantastic.”

Honeymoon plans for the newlyweds are unknown at this time, but Walsh has a date with television viewers on Sept. 26, when “Private Practice” makes its big debut.

The show, featuring an ensemble cast including Tim Daly, Taye Diggs, Audra McDonald, and Amy Brenneman, follow’s Walsh’s “Grey’s” character, Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery, as she relocates from Seattle to Los Angeles to join a chic private medical practice.

Young, meanwhile, is reportedly attached to executive produce two projects in development with 20th Century Fox: “Magneto” (a spin-off of the “X-Men” films), and the big-screen adaptation of “The A-Team.”
