Katherine Webb is engaged!
The former Miss Alabama, who garnered national attention after catching the eye of ESPN announcer Brent Musberger at a football game early last year, is set to marry AJ McCarron, University of Alabama’s quarterback.

The 24-year-old, who has modeled for Sports Illustrated and competed on ABC’s reality diving competition, “Splash,” later shared a close-up shot of her new diamond sparkler with the proud caption, “He designed it himself.”

And the fun was just getting started for the couple, who got engaged at the Beach Club restaurant in Gulf Shores, Ala., according to Twitter witnesses.
The model shared another photo of an extravagant cake celebrating their engagement, complete with a replica of AJ’s football helmet, as well as Katherine’s pageant sash.

Katherine and AJ, 23, began dating in 2012.
