Kathie Lee Gifford Claims Taylor Swift Crashed Kennedy Wedding; Rep Said Singer Welcomed

Taylor Swift – Kennedy wedding crasher? True, according to Kathie Lee Gifford.

The “Today” show fourth hour co-host — whose stepdaughter, Victoria Gifford Kennedy, claimed TayTay was an unwelcome guest at daughter Kyle’s wedding over the weekend – said Victoria is telling the truth about the country cutie’s undesired attendance.

“The truth is — because I was there — Vicki, Frank’s daughter’s account of what happened in Boston is accurate,” Kathie Lee said on the “Today” show on Thursday. “She said to me as it was happening, ‘I’m really not happy about this.’ I said, ‘What happened?’ She told me that Conor had e-mailed or texted her or something like that like an hour before and – see, here’s the thing. He had not RSVP’d so she didn’t know if he was coming or not.

“She heard that he might be, but he got in touch with her an hour earlier and said, ‘Can I bring my girlfriend’” she continued. “[Vicki] said, very nicely, ‘Please do not come.’ Well, guess what? They came.”

Additionally, Kathie Lee said Taylor was asked to leave twice before heading out, but added that she wasn’t sure if the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer was aware Conor had been asked to forego the festivities.

Of course, there are two sides to this wedding tale.

Taylor’s rep told a different story.

“Taylor was invited to the wedding and the bride thanked her profusely for being there,” the singer’s rep told the New York Post.
