Kathy Griffin & Lindsay Lohan Let Loose on Palin

Controversial comedian Kathy Griffin won her second Emmy for her reality show, “Life on the D-List,” at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday night, but she still had time to voice some strong opinions about Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

“Sarah Palin’s ridiculous. And you know it, America,” she told Access Hollywood at the awards.

Griffin went on to target one of the Alaskan governor’s most famous lines.

“The difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull is not lip stick — it’s a species,” Kathy said.

“We had the cowboy,” she continued. “How about maybe this time we vote for the smart people ticket. Anybody?”

Griffin wasn’t the only one to speak out on Palin this weekend, as Lindsay Lohan and friend Samantha Ronson reached out to fans on Lindsay’s MySpace Celebrity Blog.

“I really cannot bite my tongue anymore when it comes to Sarah Palin,” they wrote. “Is it a sin to be gay? Should it be a sin to be straight? Or to use birth control? Or to have sex before marriage? Or even to have a child out of wedlock?”

“Is our country so divided that the Republicans best hope is a narrow-minded, media obsessed homophobe? I know that the most important thing about this election is that people need to exercise their right to vote, regardless of their choice… I would have liked to have remained impartial, however I am afraid that the ‘lipstick on a pig” comments will overshadow the issues,” the blog continues.

The election also apparently hits close to home for Samantha, despite being a British citizen.

“If [Palin] gets elected my green card probably won’t get renewed!” she wrote.
