Kathy Hilton Issues Statement Over Paris’ Jail Sentence

Kathy Hilton has contacted veteran journalist Barbara Walters with a statement about her daughter Paris’ recent prison sentence.

“We can only hope that something positive can come from all of this,” Kathy told Barbara. “Hopefully young people who look up to people like Paris can learn from this.”

Walters revealed the statement on this morning’s “The View.” She said she spoke with Paris’ mother last night over a private phone call. Walters added that parents are not responsible for what their children do and said Kathy Hilton is a great mother.

Last week a judge sentenced Paris to 45 days in jail for violating her DUI probation, by driving on a suspended license, twice.

Funny lady Kathy Griffin was also on “The View” earlier today as a guest panelist, and suggested that Hilton’s statement should have been “don’t look up to my daughter.”

Conservative panelist Elisabeth Hasselbeck also weighed in on the topic saying Kathy should have disciplined her children before the system had to.
