Katie Couric and her boyfriend have broken up, a rep for the ABC journalist confirmed to Access Hollywood.
The veteran journalist, who is her 50s, and Brooks Perlin, an entrepreneur in his late 30s, had dated for five years after meeting at a cancer research fundraising event, according to People.
The New York Post reported that Brooks is moving out of Katie’s Upper East Side home.
“They have decided to move on,” a friend of Katie’s reportedly told the Post. “Brooks is a great person and a real gentleman; he and Katie enjoyed their time together. But after five years, they have decided it was time to go their separate ways. Brooks is in the process of moving out of her home.”
The two attended several high profile events together during their relationship, including a Super Bowl and a White House state dinner.
