Katy Perry Talks Motherhood & Forging New Holiday Traditions: ‘A Pink Christmas Tree’ & ‘Tofurky’

Katy Perry… mom?

In a new interview with the UK’s Grazia magazine (via The Daily Mail), the “Firework” singer reportedly said she “absolutely” wants to have children.

“I don’t want to miss out on any experience,” Katy reportedly told the mag, when asked if she had plans to become a mom. “I want lots of children.”

The 26-year-old bombshell, who married “The Tempest” star Russell Brand in a private Indian ceremony in October, is looking forward to celebrating her first Christmas as a married woman – complete with a few unconventional traditions!

‘There will be me and Russ and a pink Christmas tree and a Tofurky,” Katy told the mag. “We’ll open one present the night before because that’s the tradition in my family.

“And we’ll do something new, Katy added. “We’ll start our own new tradition because we are a family now.”

As for wedded bliss, Katy admits she’s still living a “Teenage Dream.”

“What can I say? He’s brilliant,” Katy reportedly told the mag, of her comedian husband. “Every day he amazes me.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Katy is adjusting to life as a wife – so well, in fact, that she’s getting used to being called by her famous husband’s last name.

“Sometimes when people try and get my attention like, at an event or something like that, and they want special attention, they go, ‘Mrs. Brand!’” Katy told Ellen DeGeneres, in an interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that aired earlier this month.

“I’m like, ‘Whoosh!’” Katy added, while whipping her head around.

The “California Gurl” revealed that not only is she getting used to being “Brand”ed, she’s going to make the new moniker official.

“Are you thinking of changing your name at all?” Ellen asked the popstar.

“Yes, I am, actually,” Katy revealed. “I’m in the process.”
