Katy Perry Talks ‘Saturday Night Live’ – Says Racy Costume May Come In Handy!

Katy Perry may be too hot for “Sesame Street,” but she’s just what the doctor ordered for NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”

The pop sensation, who will make her “SNL” debut this weekend alongside host (and “SNL” alum) Amy Poehler for the hit show’s 36th season premiere, dished the details of her upcoming performance with Access Hollywood.

“This summer’s been so fantastic for me, so I wanted to come back with kind of like, a bit of like the end of the summer, you know, uh, celebration,” Katy told Access at a rehearsal for the show in New York City on Thursday.

Katy will perform her recent chart-topping hits “California Gurls” and “Teenage Dream” – two songs the sexy songbird didn’t expect to garner such massive mainstream success.

“I didn’t really expect them to go number one,” she shared. “I actually made a bet, that I lost! Not that I didn’t want them to go number one — I just didn’t think it would be so much.”

The “I Kissed A Girl” singer also has acting aspirations, and offered her sweet services to the show – complete with props from her “California Gurls” music video.

“I’m hoping they will let me do a skit,” she said, shyly. “I brought my whipped cream boobs, so if they do a sketch involving like a barista, you know, coffee making, I could be helping people out and stuff like that.”

“Just whip it out,” she said with a laugh.

Catch Katy and Amy on the Season 36 premiere of “Saturday Night Live” on September 25 at 11:30 PM on NBC.
