Kelly Clarkson Cancels Tour Dates On Doctors’ Orders: ‘I Need To Rest My Voice’

Kelly Clarkson needs to take things down a notch – according to her doctors, anyway.

The powerhouse singer announced on Friday that she had to cancel six stops on her “Piece By Piece” tour after physicians recommended she rest her voice.

Kelly took to social media to express her regrets, Tweeting that she’s “so bummed” to miss the shows and assured fans she “can’t wait to get healthy” and “see y’all on the road soon.”

The affected dates begin on Saturday and run through Sept. 20. All tickets will be refunded at their original purchase price.

“Piece by Piece” is the eighth headlining tour for the “American Idol” winner. Kelly’s turned each concert into a special occasion with a different cover song, chosen by one lucky crowd member. A few of the highlights include Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer,” Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive” and *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye.”
