Kelly Clarkson & Carrie Underwood To Perform On ‘American Idol’ Series Finale

Kelly
Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are among the “American Idol” winners
returning home for the show’s series finale.

Kelly, the
show’s Season 1 winner, and Carrie Underwood, the Season 4 winner, will both
perform on the show’s series finale on Thursday,
April 7 on Fox. The show will also feature performances from former winners
Ruben Studdard (Season 2), Fantasia (Season 3), Taylor Hicks (Season 5), Jordin
Sparks (Season 6), David Cook (Season 7), Kris Allen (Season 8), Lee DeWyze
(Season 9), Scotty McCreery (Season 10), Candice Glover (Season 12), Caleb
Johnson (Season 13) and Nick Fradiani (Season
14).

Other alums
set to perform on the show include Ace Young, Allison Iraheta, Amber Holcomb,
Blake Lewis, Bo Bice, Brandon Rogers, Bucky Covington, Carly Smithson, Casey

April 7 is the culmination of the show’s three-night finale, which begins on
April 5 with “American Idol: American Dream,” a 90-minute
retrospective. Original judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson will
share stories in the special, which airs at 8 PM ET/PT.

The following night will be the final “Idol” battle, as
the singers compete for America’s vote, kicking off at 8 PM ET/PT, before
Thursday’s live finale.
