“Sex in The City 2” opens in theaters next weekend and while there is plenty of action in the movie, there’s one thing fans won’t be seeing a lot of – Kim Cattrall. Literally!
The actress, who bared it all sans some strategically placed sushi, in the first big screen installment (on Valentine’s Day, for character Samantha Jones’ then-boyfriend, Smith Jerrod), is done with showing a lot of skin.
“I decided after the series ended that I was really not really interested in doing any more nude scenes per se,” Kim told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush.
Kim said the decision came about as a gradual thing, but noted that it really sunk in when she hit five decades – the age her character turned at the end of the first “Sex and The City” film.
“I was never completely nude on the show. I mean, I was either having sushi covering me or a towel or something. There was always a clever way to get around it, but when I turned 50, I decided I just didn’t really want to do that any more,” Kim explained.
While Kim may not be showing off her body in “SATC 2,” that doesn’t mean her man-hungry maven Samantha is heading into a sexual drought.
“We’ve become really creative in the sexuality,” Kim told Billy. “But there is actually no nudity.”
SPOILER: At least, not on her part!
